UltraBac Software is pleased to announce the release of version 10.2.0 with enhanced image backup and disaster recovery functionality for Windows servers and end-points that automatically copies an on-premise backup to the cloud for off-site storage.
Once an administrator schedules mountable image backups to any local disk based resource, a built-in copy option can be enabled to the cloud provider of choice. After a full image, incremental backups can be run indefinitely and are self-healing as of the next successful backup if a failure occurs for any reason. UltraBac uses a proprietary Changed Block Tracking (CBT) driver that only copies disk blocks that have changed between backups. An image backup can be mounted to restore individual files, folders, and partitions. When performing a point-in-time recovery, only the last change block is restored no matter how many times it was backed up. In the event of a disaster, an administrator can perform WinPE based disaster recoveries with dissimilar hardware restore. When performing a disaster recovery to the same hardware, an OS partition restore can be initiated in just a few mouse clicks using Express Mode. UltraBac also provides P2V, V2V, and V2P conversions.
With UltraBac’s built-in cloud copy enabled, an image can be mounted in the cloud for file/folder recoveries or WinPE based DR operations. The only difference between restoring from a local and cloud backup is recovery speed.
Along with image backup, UltraBac also provides integrated file-by-file, Hyper-V, vSphere, and relational database backup as well as virtual replication of physical servers.
